Last Friday was a busy day….no busier than usual….at least that is what I thought.
Virginia came over to make my spring boxes for my rosaries, etc. It was something we were trying to get done for a month.
I had no idea Virginia was having contractions while making them, so I was not a little surprised when she informed me they had been coming every 5 minutes all afternoon!
My son-in-law came over and before I could say “Nathaniel James” they were out the door! As they were leaving, I asked where they were going. My son-in-law shrugged and said, “Birth Center, I guess.”
I just had to laugh. They were in such a flurry they didn’t tell me anything…not even that I was hanging out with their kids for the evening…..grin.
We all, Virginia especially, have a good chuckle over that now.
Nathaniel James! Beautiful name….I had to look it up. I knew he had something to do with a fig tree.
“Philip findeth Nathanael and saith to him: We have found him of whom Moses, in the law and the prophets did write, Jesus the son of Joseph of Nazareth.
And Nathanael said to him: Can any thing of good come from Nazareth?
Philip saith to him: Come and see.
Jesus saw Nathanael coming to him and he saith of him: Behold an Israelite indeed, in whom there is no guile.
Nathanael saith to him: Whence knowest thou me?
A beautiful baptism followed on Sunday! Another child of God…!
I crocheted the Baptismal Gown 6 babies ago.Godmother, Theresa:I had to snag a picture with the boys in their vests. It turned out a little blurry but I was lucky to get what I did with 4 squirmy boys. Actually my son-in-law was more antsy. Men and pictures sometimes don’t mix. 🙂 Little Emma was sweetly sleeping in the pew and we hadn’t the heart to wake her. (Notice her cute little Alfalfa sprout). And, of course, the party afterwards! We always try to find an excuse for a party!
The cake was made by our talented friend, Erin, who kindly offered her services! She even made the little baby topper! Beautiful and Delicious!Peek – a – Boo! Like Finer Femininity on Facebook
